Parent Curriculum – Week 2

This Wednesday is the second part of a thirteen week series called “Growing in Christ.”  It is based on a bible study created by The Navigators and is created for “new and growing Christians.” Each week we will have a memory verse for the students, if any of the students can recite all 13 passages by memory on November 16 they will get a $50 gift card to either Signs of Life, Target, or Best Buy. 

This week we will be looking at how the “Assurance of Answered Prayer.”  We will be looking at what prayer, how God cares for us, and how we are to pray.

Key Points and Terms

  • God is concerned about each of us personally and is not far away and distant.  He hears our prayers and knows us and our needs.
  • Some important areas of prayer are adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and supplication.

 11 And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

This Week’s Memory Verse – John 16:24

 “Until now you have not asked for anything in my name.  Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.”
